At the beginning of the last century, the Czell brothers competed, building palaces on the present Muresen Street. The Industrialists Of sasi Frederich and Wilhelm Czell, some of the most wealthy Brasovians at the time, invested their money in imposing buildings, thus leaving Brasov three architectural monuments. All are known as Czell Palace. From the very beginning, the palaces were not built as a residence for one family, as we might imagine. In fact, real estate investments were rented to thick Brasovians and commercial firms.
The Czell Palace across the street from the Rectorate has two floors, towers and bas-reliefs with angels and suns. They even called it the Palace of the Sun.

Known as the building of the former Beer Pit, the palace is also the oldest of the buildings erected by the Czell brothers. The high towers like observatories, the splendid bas-reliefs of the last century, can make you feel like 19th-century ladies walking their laced dresses on the streets of the crown city and the saucy, white umbrellas will keep you from the bright sunlight. The windows of this palace lead you to think of all the people who looked down on the street, from above, the stories and intrigues that unfolded behind these tall windows or the businesses and transactions that took place here.
You should know that this palace hosted the rich Brasovians who rented apartments in real estate and commercial companies that were based here.
